Q1: My account got banned, what do I do?

Use the Ticketing System and provide us the details of your situation. Do not post on the forums about it!

Q2: Account Security/Compromised Accounts

Although it's been stated before we'll say it again, NEVER SHARE YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION WITH ANYONE. This includes your best friend Mark, Jon the ice-cream man, or even your pet sugar glider, Derick – the works.

Q3: Ok, I got access to my hacked account again, but when do I get my stuff back?

Unfortunately, while we can help you recover your account, lost items and currency due to an account compromise cannot and will not be restored. The rules regarding item restoration are clearly stated in the Terms of Service. It is your responsibility to safeguard your account from being compromised. Never, ever, ever share your user ID and password with anyone. Never enter your user ID and password on any sites that are not listed in the "Safe Site List".

This includes your account name, first and last name, registered email address, and a brief description of the situation.

Q5: What do I need to provide in order regain control of my hacked account?

As hacked cases can be unique, an evaluation will be made before it is determine what information is required to restore access to an account. In most cases, an email with instructions on how to retrieve the account will be sent to your registered email. If you have not received such an email, please use the ticketing function to submit your issue.

Q6: What do you mean when you say "registered user" of an account?

The "registered users" is the individual that initially opened the account either for themselves or on behalf of someone under the age of 13.

Q7: Be aware of phishing sites and emails

Phishing is defined by any means in which a user attempts to steal another user's information. Phishing commonly occurs on the internet in website and email form. Never provide your login credentials to a site or email unless you're absolutely, positively sure that it's from Perfect World Entertainment. As a matter of fact, here's a list of all the approved URLs where you'd be prompted for your login credentials.

Rule of thumb, if the URL ends in .perfectworld.com, generally you are good to go. Accept no substitutes.

If you are wary of a site, send us the URL through our Ticketing System

Q8: General tips to avoid being phished

  • Keep your system and any anti-virus software you use up to date.
  • Avoid any suspicious websites and emails
  • Don't use hacks, cheats, add-ons with the game
  • Don't share your info with anyone

Q9: Hacks, cheats, or other executable content

This is a no-brainer.  Never ever run a hack, cheat, or similar executable with the game client.

  • This is against the Terms of Use;
  • These types of programs are likely to have key-loggers or other malware built into their programs.

It doesn't pay to cheat.

Q10: Sharing account information and/or using power-leveling services

If this hasn't been mentioned already (sarcasm)... NEVER EVER SHARE YOUR ACCOUNT INFO WITH ANYONE; especially with a power-leveling service! You don't even know these people! Besides, even if you did, it violates the Terms of Service.

Q11: Why haven't I received my activation/registration email?

There could be a variety of reasons as to why you haven’t received an email. One reason might be is that your email provider has unknowingly blocked us; or maybe our email landed in your spam folder and was neglected. In any case, if you can’t seem to find the email anywhere, contact us through the Ticketing System. At the very least we’ll be able to manually activate your account.

Q12: Why am I getting the message, "We cannot provide service to players in your region or to players using open proxies?"

If you’ve received this message, it means that one of three things has occurred:

1)  Your account logged in from a banned region (i.e. regions that are blocked due to contractual agreements).

2)  Your IP was blacklisted (banned) by our system.

3)  Your account logged in from behind a proxy and was subsequently blocked.

If you are receiving this message, please contact our customer-service group through the Ticketing System. Use the "Banned Region" problem header.

Q13: Is my country/region blocked?

If you can’t access the game or the site, this very well may be the case. For information on blocked regions, please view the following thread:
